Mukhyamantri Balika Protsahan Yojana

The Mukhyamantri Balika Protsahan Yojana has been launched by the state of Government of Bihar in the year 2020. This government scheme has been designed to cater to the need of students for financial assistance during their school or training education period.

The scheme also aims at encouraging education amongst girl children in the state. This is a scheme directed at the girl’s education, empowerment, and wholesome development. The state government has intentions of protecting the girls through the implementation of this scheme, from being school dropouts, from being a part of child marriage, and victim of child labor.

A number of girl children cannot afford to continue their studies who are from economically backward classes. Despite procuring an impressive report card for examination and securing good grades, a lot of girls are forced to drop out of school due to lack of funds. The state government wants to bridge this gap and help the child to continue their education with monetary aid.

Objective of the scheme

The main aim and objective of the Mukhyamantri Balika Protsahan Yojana 2020 are to empower girl children in the state by giving financial assistance so that they can continue their education. Moreover, the scheme also aims at eradicating child marriage and child labor through this process. Financial help will discourage the parents from these malpractices related to their girl children. Then again, the scheme will also recognize and award the meritorious students also.

Eligibility

The person applying for the Mukhyamantri Balika Protsahan Yojana 2020 should be a girl and a resident of the state of Bihar. The eligibility criteria also include the annual income of the family of the girl child as being Rs 1.5 Lakh per annum. Moreover, the girls should have passed the 10th Board examination with 1st or 2nd Division.

Registration

The registration process is done online through the official government portal edudbt.bih.nic.in.The eligible candidate has to go to the website for all information and application. The candidate has to log in and fill in up details of the form. The certificates can be uploaded online. Later the status of the application can also be checked.

Moreover, an application MKUY (SNATAK) has also been created to cater to all the needs of students related to the scheme which can be downloaded from Google Store to any Android mobile. The documents which are required for application for the scheme are Aadhar Card, Identity card, Caste certificate, Income certificate,10th Result / Registration Card, Bank account passbook, Passport size photo.

Benefits of the Scheme

Under the Mukhyamantri Balika Protsahan Yojana 2020, the girl student will get a financial aid of Rs 10,000 for those who have passed class 10th and matches with the eligibility criteria. Moreover, the state government, under this scheme will pay Rs 8000 to girl students who have passed class 10th with 2nd division and those who belong to the Scheduled Tribe, and Scheduled Caste community. Hence the benefits are not only monetary but have far-reaching impacts like the development of the girl student and financial independence.
